Cedar Bluff Lodge

This 7300 square foot facility will provide 12 guest rooms, a gathering and kitchen area for 50 people and a conference room with a capacity of 120. The facility should be ready for use by summer 2008. The construction of this lodge is made possible because of a gift from the Wynonia Pallmeyer estate with the leadership of Dr. James Bass.

God has blessed the construction of this lodge as the volunteer Christian Builders, David Fowler Coordinator; the Texas Baptist Men Special Projects, Chuck Cosper Coordinator; and Lone Star Baptist Builders, have all worked this fall. Other individual volunteers have included David Chisholm, Ray Fatheree, Thurman Oldham, Charlie Bingaman, J.D. McCambridge, and Wayne Pogue. We are grateful for these men and their wives!

A welcoming Breezeway entry leads to two conference rooms, one that will seat 120 and one that will seat 36 that includes a fireplace and kitchen with seating area. Each of the 12 nicely furnished guest rooms has a back door leading to a covered porch with rockers to enjoy the view.

Donations have been received to furnish six of the guest rooms! Funds are still needed for six rooms. It takes $5,000 to totally furnish a guest room and donations of any amount may be made toward this need. Each donor will be named on a bronze plaque in the breezeway. Gifts of $5,000 to furnish a room will receive a bronze plaque in the room to recognize the donor. This is a wonderful opportunity for churches to honor their pastor/staff or families to honor or memorialize a loved one.  If you would like to help furnish Cedar Bluff please call Alton at 888.269.2363 or email alton@riverbendretreat.org.
