Dear Friend,
This week is the last week of preparation before our first "official" session of camp!  From this point on, it is a sprint to the finish line, represented on the calendar as August 18th.  I want to ask you to join us in prayer for the following specific prayer requests:
  • Camper's hearts will be yielded to the Lord and His calling on their lives.
  • Leaders will be spiritually and physically prepared to minister to the campers.
  • For the health, safety and well being of all staff, sponsors and campers.

We will keep you posted each month through the eReview, but in the meantime, you can stay connected by becoming a friend on Riverbend's Facebook page.  Just click on the link on the left sidebar.

Hope to see you you soon at the Bend!

Friends of Riverbend Dinner...October 20th!
worship center footprint

Plan to join us for the
"Friends of Riverbend" Dinner
to find out more about this need.
This event promises great food, inspiration and information on how you can be involved in reaching young people for Christ through Christian camping!

Guest Speaker:  Dennis Swanberg  Dennis Swanberg head shot

This year, Swanberg will appear at over 150 churches, conferences, businesses and concert events while his popular TBN and FamNet television shows continue to be aired weekly. He has also authored seven books and an additional book on men's ministry is scheduled to hit the marketplace during the upcoming year. And as always, he'll be bringing a note of encouragement, a pocketful of hilarious stories and a great big bag of joy and laughter wherever he goes.
  • The Dinner will be held on October 20th at 6:30pm at First Baptist Church. Arlington, TX.
  • Let us know if you would like to be a table host and invite seven people to join you for the dinner.  The donation is $400.
  • Contact Joy Belew at 888.269.2363 or email her for more information.
Your help is needed to get "Back to the Heart of Worship!"  Riverbend partners with churches to reach out to over 10,000 campers and leaders each summer.  While hundreds of these campers make life-changing decisions, we feel that even more young people can be reached by updating our worship facility to better communicate the gospel message.
