Alton
Belew, Executive Director
Alton, Joy and their sons moved to Riverbend Retreat Center (then Tarrant Baptist
Encampment) in July of 1994. He has served on staff as Youth Minister and Minister
of Education in three churches before coming to Riverbend. Alton graduated
from Wayland Baptist University and received a Masters of Religious Education
degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. What I like most about working at camp: Seeing
people experiencing God at Riverbend and working with the
staff.
Joy
Belew, Administrative Assistant
Since moving to Riverbend in 1994, Joy has served in many roles…Food
Service Director, Reservations, Housekeeping and Administrative Assistant.
Joy and Alton have two grown sons, Wesley and Timothy. Joy attended Wayland
Baptist University and has worked as Administrative Assistant to the President
of Wayland and as bookkeeper for a commercial realty company. What I like most
about working at camp: Working with guests and helping to keep
things organized.
