Barnard Mill and Art Museum

One of the first structures in Glen Rose. Built in the 1860s, the mill house art museum features oils, bronzes, and primitive artifacts built in the new part of the building in the 1940s. It is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and the Texas Historic Register. Open Saturday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., Sunday 1 - 5 p.m. On SW Barnard St.

Creation Evidence Museum

Includes artifacts and fossil displays, Acrocanthosaurus bones, dinosaur footprint casts, and more. Open Tuesday through Saturday,
10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Approximately four miles west of Glen Rose via U.S. 67, F.M. 205. Admission. 254/897-3200.

 

Dinosaur Valley State Park
Dinosaur Valley State ParkA unique, picturesque park on a scenic part of the Paluxy River. The Paluxy River flows over solid rock that contains the best-preserved dinosaur tracks in Texas. Fossil Rim Wildlife Center
Fossil Rim Wildlife CenterDiscover some of the world's most endangered animals, like the white rhino, cheetah, and Grevy's zebra, among some 30 species that roam free on 2,900 acres of valleys and savannahs. Other activities include a petting pasture, restaurant, nature store, picnic area, nature trail, and education center. Open daily except Christmas and Thanksgiving. The Promise
The PromiseA musical Drama of the life and passion of Christ. Thousands have witnessed THE PROMISE at the Kremlin State Palace in Moscow, Russia and The Texas Amphitheater in Glen Rose, Texas. Millions have seen this magnificent portrayal on the life of Jesus via international television. The compassion of Jesus is shared with children and adults alike and the performance warms every audience with hope and love. Somervell County Historical Museum
This museum offers items depicting local history, fossils, and relics. Open June through Labor Day, Monday - Saturday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.; Sunday, 1 - 5 p.m.; Labor Day through May, Saturday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.; Sunday, 1-5 p.m.. Located at Elm and Vernon Streets in Glen Rose, Texas.

 

Squaw Valley Golf Club
Located just outside Glen Rose at the intersection of highways 67 and 144, offers 2 challenging 18-hole courses. Opened in 1992, Squaw Valley Golf Club is opened to the public and includes a driving range. Phone (254) 897.7956.
